Biography

Bill Kelly was born on Independence Day in Richmond, Kentucky and attended Eastern Kentucky University. His early stint as Jed Clampett in his high school’s production of “The Beverly Hillbillies” foreshadowed his future in the entertainment industry.

Life and raising children were a priority until Bill started acting later in life at the age of 50. He has come a long way since his first gig in the film business where he was as a stand-in for John Hurt, in the HBO film “Recount”. Since then, Bill has amassed over 60 credits, sharing the screen with some of the biggest names in Hollywood.  Including Anne Hathaway in “The Last Thing He Wanted”, Dwayne Johnson in “Ballers”, Mahershala Ali in “True Detective”, Kyle Chandler in “Bloodline” and most recently opposite Daisy Edgar-Jones in “Where the Crawdads Sing”. His journey from the Blue Grass State to Hollywood speaks to his determination and passion for the craft. His recurring guest star role as Captain Tony Mallory in the NBC hit series, “Found” demonstrates continuing success as an actor.

Notably, his portrayal of Eberhard Anheuser in Budweiser’s 2017 Super Bowl commercial, “Born the Hard Way,” likely left a lasting impression on viewers worldwide.

Beyond acting, Bill’s extensive experience in broadcast radio and commercial voice-overs adds another dimension to his artistic repertoire and was nominated or the Country Music Association ‘Music Director of the Year’ award.
